Gather your thoughts, grab your notebook, and prepare to take a closer look at one of Alabama’s most controversial institutions: its prison system.

United Women of Color and FAMM (Families Against Mandatory Minimums) are hosting a screening of the HBO Original Documentary, The Alabama Solution, an examination of the violence, systemic failures, and conditions within one of the nation’s most troubled prison systems.

Following the screening, a panel discussion will explore the importance of independent prison oversight, institutional accountability, and the ongoing efforts to address conditions within Alabama’s correctional facilities.

Come informed, leave with questions, and take part in a conversation that extends far beyond prison walls.
